i forgot how this works.

this is from the neighborhood braai. a braai is a barbeque, and everyone just wheeled out their braais and then socialized. i thought it was really funny, the one in the wheelbarrow. ha.

really i dont even remember how i wrote before so now my best idea is just to do bullet points. like all of feb and now some of march. ridiculous. slacking.

so im taking a metal work jewelry class and the first couple classes we drilled holes in copper and learned how saws work. and now we are carving stuff out of cuddlefish (i cant even try to explain this) and then pouring melted silver into our molds. everyone in the class is american so that is weird, but not too surprising as it is a class for international students. also i have made some american friends and they all hang out with each other and all the international students just hang out with other international students. i dont understand this.

i had a toast party with the holms and that was great. i got a toaster you see. the kids each had to eat a piece of toast hanging from a string with nutella dripping from both sides. i'll show you pictures when i see you.

i saw lots of movies this month. i joined unasa and habitat and rotoract. wow i am sorry this is the most boring post ever i dont know what happened.

but last night i went to a concert and it was outside. that was a good time.

We went to swellendam last weekend. kaspar saw these paper bags and thought it was hilarious. also in swellendam i held a python. we also went a "Fairy Sanctuary" and you werent allowed to take pictures in the entire place because apparently some ceramic fairy figurines are more precious than others. it was really funny. here is a sneak peak and if this doesnt make you want to drop everything and fly into cape town and then drive 3 hours .. i dont know what will.

this is ben the dog trying to figure out what is happening in my room.

sorry i think the main issue is i havent been taking as many pictures which is weird cause i have been doing a lot. surf club is happening again. i went to the beach with friends. i have friends. etc etc. so i'll work on it. dont lose faith in me.

Margo, pop loves the photo of dog peering into window of your quarters. Peeping Tom. Reminds me of a story from my little one bedroom bachelor pad in L.O..The bedroom had two french doors that opened on to a small deck and small back yard. I sleep with the doors open. One dark morning I awoke to some ruckus and discovered a family of 5 raccoons leaning on the deck.
They sat there,
front feet on the deck,
peering into my room,
at me,
peering out at them...
Raccoons were just petrified.
I laughed out loud

love

Hi Marg,

Looks like that Dog wants to play. Speaking of dogs, Pierre really misses you. Olivia and a friend took our dogs on a walk to the dog park on Kapteyn's the other day. She had kind of forgotten how to get there. Luckily, Pierre led the way! He's always happy when there are kids around - I know you're not a kid anymore, but I think Pierre looks for you whenever Olivia and her pals are out in the yard. He sure will be happy when you're home.
