Dood, luise?? haha. i just killed an ant on my comp screen. they are everywhere its making my skin crawl. reall. anyway, i dont have lice and i dont want them. thats why i have the dood luise shampoo. just killed another ant. get out!!!
Bread baking--- clearly a huge success. it was fun and also boring learning about wheat germ but its okay. the french baguette is perfect in case you cant tell. my favorite was the scolded rye which is the big one. it tastes the best. did you know that the only ingredients in that baguette is yeast, water, flour and salt. isnt that amazing? its so simple. the hard part is planning ahead and also scoring it (this is cutting the top with a razor) i got really nervous in that part cause the pan was really hot and we had to set out baguette on it without dying and then also cut it with a razor. very stressful. but i am alive to tell the story. the guy had a steam oven which is really cool and it heats up really really fast. and also makes the bread shinier. this is vital to big bread sales. he also said things like "baking bread is easy. a misconception with people is that it is hard." and "big baking bread laboratory" and he pronounced micro organisms "meecro organisms" and also on the power point it said varm water. haha. and he was talking about the crust of bread to people taking a bread baking class and then he said "crust is the surface of the bread" food knowledge 101. so anyway it was fun and very informative-- i learned that crust is the surface of the bread, did you know that? ALSO! this is actually good to know: unsalted butter is going to be fresher than salted. cause duh.. salt is used as a preserver. so you know its frustrating in foreign places and everyone eats unsalted but its actually better butter.

I can't deal with that spider! In other news, I talked to my friend from South Africa today and he asked where exactly you're staying? Where exactly are you? Maps? He also said cricket (sp?) season is starting soon and that his dad has season tickets! You should try to catch a game. It sounds like a crazy sport.
im in stellenbosch! hook it up, i need friends. and as far as i know, cricket is an insect so you might want to do some fact checking. i hope your response to this is that he turns out to be my neighbor. so the pressure is on.
is it 20/twenty cricket?
i love the bread, looking at it makes me hungry and hungary. good job!! who knew about the crust, fun facts to know and tell.
The cocoon treatment is tied for first!!!!!!!!!!
Margo, the bread looks like it came form the bakery, did you buy it? Ha Ha. It's odd to see your landscape look like winter when it is the end of summer here. Nice spider by the way.
