First of all, here is a picture of my pet rock from last week. i think we collectively determined its a fish. hanna named her rock "feather girl" and kaspar named his "ronweasley"-- one word.
so im nineteen and feel like a completely different person. isnt that always the way it is though, clock strikes twelve and some magic dust across the screen and you are morphed into an older wiser version of yourself.. in seconds!! so thats what happened. and then 9 hours later i was in the backseat on my way to to capetown's Two Oceans Aquarium. we had snacks in the car-- nutella sandwich and apples and apple juice. it took 1 hour to get there and 30 minutes to get out of the parked car and into the aquarium. and also im an official member of the aquarium also so with that card i think i also have vip access to all the places.
then we had lunch in the aquarium restaurant and on the menu it said they dont use straws cause its bad for fish if they get them. and then we ordered all strawberry juices for the 4 of us and wam bam came with 4 straws. seems weird? i had fish and chips the fish still had its skin and bones. also huge yachts in the harbor. i mean huge. we also saw a puppet show (mediocre at best) and there was a craft center thing where they had arbor day related coloring pages and a project with a tree. i thought they meant labor day and messed up. did i mention there is a tank filled with "Slime Hags"-- so cute! and the sharks were huge freaked me out a little. this is a picture of "time to go" do you recognize this? hahah.
so i came home and rested and then at 5 i went into the house and they were playing a song with their recorders for me and there was a beautiful cake with metallic sprinkles and also candles were there. and presents!! and then we ate cake and it was so yum and i was genuinely happy about the date of my birth. then i opened some presents and i got a nice stellenbosch university sweatshirt that i like very much and then hanna made me this man:
and jakob made me this sun:
and then later maria came over and gave me a south african fertility doll. you have to give it away after you have 3 kids i read on the label and i think im ready to give it away now. but it looks good (and shes fertile guys...)
also for my birthday i got some really nice emails and e-bouquet! and im still waiting for a package in the mail..

Margo, If you don't give the fertility doll away soon, at least get it out of your bedroom.
